Announcement

The following was discussed and agreed by the members at Septembers meeting:

• Change the monthly meetings to Bi-monthly starting from the January meeting. This means the meetings will take place in January - March and May 2009
• Change the meeting day from a Thursday to a Wednesday. This will also take effect from the January meeting due to commitments for November and December
• Membership joining fees will remain all season and not reduced
• Start a donation fund for Lennon Woods who is currently undergoing chemotherapy and bone marrow replacement. The fund is for treating Lennon to be the mascot for the day in January/February 2009
• Agreed that the November meeting with our president Gary Edwards will be free and we will fundraise on the night to help with costs
• December Christmas party. Tickets would only cover the cost of catering and DJ. Last year tickets were £12.50 and £10.00 and we hope to make tickets around £6. This will be confirmed once catering has been agreed. Hopefully this will then be affordable for most members and guests and swell attendance. We would have a raffle again to raise funds on the evening.

Our branch president Gary Edwards is having a talk on his lifetime experiences of being a Leeds fan for over 40 years and never missed a Leeds game Home or Away. Academy Trip to see the training ground and watch a reserve game at Elland Road. This trip is limited to 17 people and details will be published Xmas

Leeds on the road event. Cleethorpes Cricket Club (TBC) We will combine the Leeds on the road event with a race night.
